What a glorious day. The sky was a beautiful blue, with light lazy clouds drifting by. Perfect fall weather. I gathered the last of the potatoes from my garden, along with a few onions, that had made it past the many requests to "go get a few onions for dinner". All the tomatoes are about done for too, just a few green ones hanging on for dear life, trying to ripen, before frost claims the vines. (We don't do fried green tomatoes).
Next year I hope to have beans and corn to go with everything else. Had planned it for this year, however, time and the season, got ahead of me and I didn't get those planted. May try some other veggies too, will have to wait and see what the new year brings.
Spent the afternoon playing with three of the grandchildren, we shared lots of fun things on the front lawn, enjoying the sun and fellowship. Sometimes I am so tired I don't have as much fun with the babies as I should, but I try to live by the following quote:
“They may forget what you said, but they will never forget how you make them feel.”
Carol Buchner

Time gets away from us as the babies become toddlers, then school age, then teenagers,,,,before you know it they are adults with lives of their own and don't always have time to stop in for a visit, so I want to enjoy them as much as possible now.
